Hudson Aircraft Crash Debert
“Casualty Document & RCAF pilot wing” named to “( 128953) Sergeant Thomas Vincent Hyland”.
He was with the “31 Operational Training Wing” and flying a “Hudson Aircraft FK 408″.
Hyland was originally from Vancouver, B.C. He was killed on April 8, 1943 while in Debert, Nova Scotia.
He was on a Navigation Exercise when the plane crashed killing him and another flyer.

I am the nephew of the late Sergeant Percy W Elliott 425289 RAAF who was killed on April 8,1943 while in Debert,Nova Scotia.We believe the accident site was at Mabou and he was acting as an observer on a training flight aboard a Hudson Aircraft.Can you confirm if he was onboard this Sergeant T.V.Hyland aircraft FK 408.If possible we would be interested in any information regarding this accident.Uncle was known to all as Bill
