My Dad often talks of this. In 1942 (41?) a munitions plane bound
for Halifax Crashed on Skye Mountain, killing all aboard,
and scattering debris for miles when it all exploded. He
lived about 20 miles away at the time (now lives 3 miles
away) and every window in their house shook from the shockwave.
Would anyone out there have any information on this?? I searched
the web for a long time and found nothing. Thanks! Mark. |
